Kimbo Slice To Appear at WCF 8 Near Boston

The Ultimate Fighter 10 contestant “Kimbo Slice” Kevin Ferguson (3-1) will make a cameo in the crowd at World Championship Fighting 8 at Aleppo Shriners Auditorium in Wilmington, Massachusetts north of Boston on September 26, WCF announced Friday.

The fight card is headlined by former WEC welterweight “Beast” Mike Campbell’s (6-2) return to the WCF versus Mike Medrano (5-3).

Campbell tapped in a triangle choke to “Showtime” Anthony Pettis (9-0) at WEC 41 in Sacramento 7 June. In his last WCF cameo, Campbell TKO’d Rich Moskowitz (10-5) in Wilmington in June 2008.

Medrano won a three-round decision over “Wicked” Phillip Wyman (4-3) at Elite Fighting Challenge in Norfolk, VA 27 June.
On the undercard, featherweight Dan Bonnell (6-5) will take on Bellator vet Josh LaBerge (3-4).

Undefeated WCF prodigy Kevin Corrigan (2-0) and fellow undefeated prospect Saul Almeida (4-0) will fight to keep their zeros intact.

Welterweights Dennis Olsen (7-1) and Ryan Schieding (5-1) will also square off.
