The UFC Fight For The Troops 3 card has added another veteran to the card. Liz Carmouche, a former US Marine, has signed to fight Alexis Davis in womens bantamweight bout. Carmouche rebounded from her loss to current UFC Womens Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey with a win over Jessica Andrade, and will be looking to continue the momentum in November. Davis made her UFC debut against Rossi Sexton in June, and a win over Carmouche could launch her into the top side of the division.
UFC Fight For The Troops, also known as UFC Fight Night 31, takes place on November 6 at Fort Campbell in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. In the main event, Lyoto Machida will make his middleweight debut against Tim Kennedy. While both fighters are rebounding from losses, many feel Machida should have gotten the nod over Phil Davis. This is the third time the UFC is hosting a Fight For The Troops, and the proceeds from the event will benefit injured soldiers returning from overseas.
