A new bout has been added to the UFC’s 20th Anniversary show. Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir will take on Alistair Overeem on the event’s main card. Mir was just defeated on Saturday in Milwaukee by Josh Barnett in a fight that some are saying was stopped too early. Overeem has dropped two fights in a row with the most recent coming from Travis Browne at the FOX Sports 1 card in Boston. It’s only safe to assume that the loser of this bout will have to make some tough choices concerning their future in the sport.
The Las Vegas Review Journal was the first to report the bout. UFC 167: St-Pierre Vs Hendricks takes place Saturday November 16 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the main event, UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre will take on number one contender Johny Hendricks for all the welterweight marbles.
