Last night during the broadcast of UFC Fight Night 28: Teixeira Vs Bader, the UFC confirmed that Chael Sonnen will be staying at light heavyweight. Sonnen and Rashad Evans had begun going back and forth on twitter saying they would fight each other, and UFC President Dana White said repeatedly that Sonnen wanted to be on the Number 16th card in Las Vegas. The show will serve as the UFC’s twentieth anniversary, and the UFC has confirmed that Sonnen will meet Evans in the co main event.
The UFC Announced on twitter:
You heard it from the bad guy himself first: Rashad Evans faces Chael Sonnen in the co-main event of UFC 167 11/16 in Vegas
