Junior dos Santos avoids injury after hit-and-run

Apparently it was a rough weekend for UFC champions residing in Brazil, as heavyweight title-holder Junior dos Santos went on Twitter today to confirm he was involved in an accident over the weekend but didn’t suffer any sort of serious injury as a result of the wreck. Dos Santos’ news comes on the heels of featherweight king Jose Aldo getting banged up when a car collided with a motorcycle he was riding.

“They just hit my car and did not stop, continued to follow the path as if it were normal,” wrote Dos Santos. “Please let us be more aware and respect others. You win nothing with violence and disrespect.”

Dos Santos also added he did not get a chance to write the culprit’s license plate down but made it clear he hopes he never crosses paths with the person again.

“He/She has a bad energy,” he concluded.
