TJ Grant was supposed to be in the octagon fighting Benson Henderson at UFC 164, but Grant was forced off the card with a concussion he sustained in jiu jitsu, and Pettis was given the fight. As soon as UFC President Dana White put the belt around Pettis’ waste he told Commentator Joe Rogan that he wanted to fight Jose Aldo, but according to reports Grant will get the first crack at Pettis’ title. There is no time frame as to when the fight will happen, but the bout makes sense as there is already a line forming in both the featherweight and lightweight divisions for title shots.

Grant saw the tweet as well, and told MMAFighting:
“I didn’t expect to hear that so soon. What can I say? I am a happy man. It’s gonna be a hell of a fight.”
