Former UFC Champion Tim Sylvia is Jason Voorhees of the "Friday the 13th" Movie Franchise

Former UFC heavyweight champion “Maine-iac” Tim Sylvia (24-6) is currently in Boston playing horror film icon Jason Voorhees in the yet-to-be-titled “Friday the 13th” sequel, Fighters.com has confirmed with a source close to the fighter.
On a three-fight losing streak and most recently on the horizontal end of a “Merciless” Ray Mercer (1-0) nine-second knockout at Adrenaline MMA 3 in Birmingham 13 June, Sylvia will get to diggin’ himself out of the deepest trench of his underrated career versus Jason Riley (6-1), at Adrenaline MMA 4 in Omaha 18 September.
Sylvia is one of the actors standing-in as the hockey mask-mugged serial killer in the movie franchise began in 1980 and spanning 12 volumes.
While filming in Boston, Sylvia is training at Sityodtong USA with trainer Mark DellaGrotte, who trains two-time UFC lightweight title challenger “KenFlo” Kenny Florian (11-4), former UFC middleweight challenger “Predator” Patrick Cote (13-5), and The Ultimate Fighter 1 finalist “American Psycho” Stephan Bonnar (11-6).

EXACTLY MAV… there isn’t even a script yet for the F13th sequel. The film’s producer said that when/if they do a sequel, Derek Mears will reprise the role as Jason. This story is 100% bogus.
Well for starters, who really cares who plays Jason Voorhees in any of the Friday the 13th movies because you never see who the actor is playing him any way! If they would’ve just said, “Hey, there’s a sequel to Friday the 13th being filmed”, No one would’ve even been concerned on who was playing Jason! If they would’ve never told you who was playing Jason, you all would’ve never known the difference until after the movie was put out on DVD, and you watched the trailer’s afterwards! Then after seeing that Tim played Jason, you all would’ve said wow, he did a good job instead of dissing him up front before they even begin filming the sequel, and actually knowing that Tim is playing him! I agree with Kane86 on the physique issue! So everybody shut the Fuck up, and let the filming take it’s course!

If you IDIOTS read the news above you’d see it says NOTHING about Tim Sylvia PLAYING Jason in the movie. It specifically says “STANDING IN” for the actor playing him! A stand-in actor is someone that the director uses for the other actors to react off of… You don’t SEE the stand in actor on film… And for the record Friday the 13th SUCKS ASS!

I saw Tim at the gym MULTIPLE TIMES last week training for his upcoming fight with Jason Riley and on top of that he’s back in shape. So, I love Fighter Magazine, but regardless of what you think of Tim, this article is pure BS.

Tim Sylvia would soo suck playing Jason Voorhees! As for all you numb nuts that says Friday the 13th suck you don’t know shit… The remake was actually alot better than the fist one who did not even have Jason in it ,his mom was the killer (Betty Davis),and for just that reason the Friday 13th remake was 100 times better.. Derek Mears I hope he plays the role again,he was kick ass!!
