Brock Lesnar still on track for UFC return in the near future

“Ridiculous.”
That’s the word UFC President Dana White used to describe rumors that former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar’s health had again taken a turn for the worse and might even prompt his retirement from MMA altogether this time around.
White’s response came in a conference call with media earlier today where the last man to fight Lesnar, Cain Velasquez, was announced as one-half of a headlining tilt scheduled for November 12 when the UFC makes its network debut on FOX.
“It’s so far from the truth it’s not even funny,” White replied when asked about Lesnar’s failing physical condition.
Lesnar hasn’t fought in nearly a year after having a significant portion of his colon removed/repaired due to another bout of diverticulitis, the same condition sidelining the 34-year old in 2009.
However, in a recent promotional clip, the 5-2 behemoth explained, he was feeling both “healthy” and “strong”. Assuming Lesnar is indeed progressing as expected he should make his return to the Octagon in the first quarter of 2012.
