UFC legend Anderson Silva may be 38 years old and have nine fights remaining on a deal he’s vowed to complete, but fans shouldn’t expect the beloved Brazilian to follow in the footsteps of some of his peers by practicing testosterone replacement therapy. In fact, he’s even beaten a few fighters known for TRT use including Dan Henderson and Chael Sonnen, giving further motivation for Silva to stay clean as he makes the final run of his career.
Silva spoke about the subject in an interview with SiriusXM Sports, saying:
“I don’t use it. My opinion is the use of testosterone is bad. I’m 38 and I don’t use anything. But it’s a good question for the commission.”
On his upcoming bout with champion Chris Weidman at UFC 168:
“I’m very excited for the rematch. The new Anderson is coming in December.”
