UFC heavyweight Frank Mir has fallen in two straight tilts and, at 34 years old, isn’t exactly a hot prospect with a ton of time to rebuild his reputation. However, Mir is still an apt adversary for any individual including Josh Barnett who he’ll face at UFC 164.
Barnett recently spoke about Mir in an interview with MMA’s Great Debate Radio Show, admitting Mir was on the downside of his career but dangerous nonetheless…
“At this point Frank’s best days have already occurred, but you can’t underestimate people because you set yourself up for a downfall and I don’t think of Frank as being a bad fighter. A fighter might lose ten in a row, but they got a history of winning 30 before it and any moment there could be the one fight where they manage to pull it together and come back to their championship best and it only takes one fight.”
