According to the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services, the commission that oversees mixed martial arts in Wisconsin, two fighters have been granted therapeutic use exemptions for testosterone-replacement therapy (TRT). Heavyweights Frank Mir and Ben Rothwell have both been given exemptions.
While Frank Mir has been allowed to use TRT before, this is the first time we have learned that Rothwell is on TRT. It’s unclear if Rothwell had a TRT exemption during his submission loss to Gabriel Gonzaga. An interesting note, when Rothwell enters the cage at UFC 164 to fight Brandon Vera, this will be the first time he has fought more than once a year since signing with the UFC in 2009.

Defending lightweight champion Benson Henderson looks to defend his belt for the fourth time when he takes on Anthony Pettis in a rematch of the final WEC fight in history. In the first fight, Pettis defeated Henderson in a five round back and forth bout by unanimous decision, and the result left Pettis as the final WEC Lightweight Champion. Also confirmed for the card are heavyweights Frank Mir and Josh Barnett and featherweights Chad Mendes and Clay Guida.
