The WEC ‘rematch’ fans have been clamoring for is finally right around the corner. In their first fight, it was Anthony Pettis who walked off into the sunset with the WEC Lightweight crown after beating current UFC Champion Benson Henderson by decision. The loss happens to be the only time Henderson has lost in 7 years, and Anthony Pettis is looking to do the same thing he did on the final WEC card, but at UFC 164: Henderson Vs Pettis II. In his pre-fight interview, Pettis talks about this being his one shot to take the title, why he deserves to be regarded as one of the best in the world, and how there is a theme of fate and destiny going into the fight.
UFC 164: Henderson Vs Pettis II takes place August 31 at the HMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee. Defending lightweight champion Benson Henderson looks to defend his belt for the fourth time when he takes on Anthony Pettis in a rematch of the final WEC fight in history. In the first fight, Pettis defeated Henderson in a five round back and forth bout by unanimous decision, and the result left Pettis as the final WEC Lightweight Champion. Also confirmed for the card are heavyweights Frank Mir and Josh Barnett and featherweights Chad Mendes and Clay Guida.
