UFC featherweight champ Jose Aldo is a decade away from needing to worry about increasing the testosterone level in his body if hoping to continue competing at a high-level inside the ring. However, Aldo recently made it clear he has no problem with the process as long as those using Testosterone Replacement Therapy adhere to the guidelines set forth by athletic commissions.
The 26-year old spoke on the subject in an interview with TATAME, explaining he too would use TRT if necessary…
“I don’t see the problem with using TRT. Everybody uses (steroids), from the champion to the newcomer. I believe we (from Nova Uniao) are the only ones that don’t do that, because Andre Pederneiras has always been against steroids. I think it’s wrong to criticize someone who came forward and said they take TRT.”
“Randy Couture fought until he was 50, and you say he was clean? If the doctors prescribe it for you and you’re within the limits, I see no problem. If I need it one day, I will use TRT too.”
