Blanco Takes Lightweight King Title From Inoue, Kondo By TKO at Pancrase

Sengoku-trained “Makishi” Maximo Blanco (3-0) TKO’d Katsuya Inoue (15-6-2) with punches at 4:38 of round two to win the Lightweight King of Pancrase title at Changing Tour 4 in Tokyo Saturday.

UFC and MMA vet Yuki Kondo (49-23-6) TKO’d middleweight Kim Ki-Beom (0-1) with a kick to the body at 1:52 of round one of the main event, to the delight of his fans.

A struggle for the Middleweight King of Pancrase title between champ Izuru Takeuchi (25-10-6) and Takenori Sato (2-5-3) ended in a draw after three five-minute rounds.

The card also featured the finals of the Neo-Blood Tournament, which searches for Japan’s next MMA titans.

Lightweight Isao Kobayashi (2-0) TKO’d Hiroshi Toyama (0-1) at 2:20 of round one. Grabaka featherweight Shigeyuki Uchiyama (2-0) won a unanimous decision over Yo Saito (0-3). Bantamweight Ryota Sasaki (1-1) also earned a UD voer Nobuhiro Yoshitake (0-3). And, flyweight Kiyotaka Shimizu (1-1-1) got the unanimous nod over Yuichiro Yajima (2-4).

U-File Camp’s Eriya Matsuda (7-5) broke a four-fight losing streak with a TKO by soccer kicks of welterweight Kenichi Serizawa (4-5-2) at 2:02 of round one.

Welterweight Shingo Suzuki (2-0) tapped Asaki Honda (4-4-1) in a rear naked choke in just 42 seconds.

Featherweight Shoko Sato (4-0) TKO’d Ryo Saito (0-1) with punches at 1:40 of round one.

“Bancho” Yusuke Kawanako (2-0) launched a fight-ending flying knee to KO Hideo Matsui (0-4-2) at 4:46 of round two.

Welterweight Juntaro Ami (1-0) tapped Nova Uniao Japan’s Flavio Tanaka (1-2) in an Achilles lock in 42 seconds.

Flyweight Toshihiro Shimizu (4-2-1) tapped Daisuke Tsujita (0-1) in a rear naked choke at 1:04 of round two.

Middleweights Masahiro Toryu (6-2-4) and Kousei Kubota (25-26-9) and lightweights “Akai” Tashiro Nishiuchi (6-5-7) and Tomonari Kanomata (10-3-4) fought to draws.

Lightweights Keigo Hirayama (0-1-2) and Junichi Ota (2-2-1), who was debuting in the ring after fighting in Cage Force, also fought to a draw.
