Cantwell And Stann To Make it A Trilogy at UFC Fight Night 19
By: Chad Edward Posted On: August 6, 2009 at 8:41pmFormer WEC light heavyweight champs “Robot” Steve Cantwell (7-2) and “All American” Brian Stann (6-2) will make it a trilogy at UFC Fight Night 19.
The holdovers from the WEC’s downsizing split a pair in Zuffa’s little show, Stann TKOing Cantwell at WEC 26 in Alabama in March 2007 and most recently Cantwell equaling the result at WEC 35 in Las Vegas in August 2008.
Cantwell is 1-1 in the Octagon, most recently dropping a UD to “Banha” Luiz Arthur Cane (8-1) at UFC 97 in Montreal 18 April.
Stann is 0-1 in the Octagon, suffering a consecutive TKO to “The Experiment” Krzystof Soszynski (19-8-1) at the same event.
