UFC Negotiations For Fedor Emelianenko Ongoing, Says M-1 Global

Posted On: July 31, 2009 at 11:15am

The UFC and M-1 Global, promoter of Fighters.com Heavyweight Champion “Last Emperor” Fedor Emelianenko (29-1), have not canned negotiations to put Emelianenko in the Octagon versus UFC champ Brock Lesnar (4-1), M-1 Global announced in a statement Friday afternoon.

“There have been recent reports stating that talk between M-1 Global and the UFC regarding Fedor fighting in the UFC have ended. Like some of the other reports that have surfaced, this is incorrect,” claimed M-1 Global President Vadim Finkelchtein.

Finkelchtein also denied reports in less reputable publications that Fighters.com that the UFC offered Emelianenko a six-fight, $30 million dollar deal.

“It is unfortunate that so much incorrect information has been leaked to the public. It is M-1′s preference not to negotiate in public and we are unsure why people claim that Fedor and M-1 turned down a six fight, $30 million contract to fight in the UFC when no such offer was ever made,” retorted the Russian millionaire.

He implied the UFC was leaking false reports to pressure M-1 Global. “It’s unfortunate because these type of tactics will not help ensure that M-1′s talks with the UFC are fruitful.” But, Finkelchtein added, “It is our hope that the UFC will remain in active dialogue with us as we try to find ways for us to work together.”

I am a big fan of Fedor! However if he really expects the UFC to co promote with M-1 that is a ridiculous request. Why would the UFC do this? Fedor is trying to take advantage of the UFC and the fans because he knows we want him in the UFC so bad. The fans need you Fedor they need you to come beat the shit out of Brock Lesnar. You have more money than you will ever need in life. It’s about the fans too. America loves this sport it seems as if you defy the American Fans. Come to the UFC and beat some ass Fedor.

why everyone wants fedor to bend his ways? for once dana white can go outside of his box, and just compare the best fighters! white is just scared to do that, cuz if its one fight deal, fedor will kill lesner and it will show right away that ufc does not have best fighters!

And why should Dana White give Fedor Emelianenko more than he’s worth? The UFC offered Emelianenko the biggest contract in the history of MMA and he turned it down.

Fedor could have made this happen. He doesn’t want to fight Lessner. He’d rather pic off no names and washed up former champs. It’s a joke to ask a company that has as much as the ufc does to give up half of their company to get one fighter. A joke almost as big as Fedor.

Fedor is srry for declining an offer into the ufc . He just wants to keep fighting a bunch of no names. I think he forgot that he has to prove to the world that he really is number one. If he is tired of the debate over him being the best he should prove it. Come to the ufc and quite making stupid request when the ufc tries there best to get you .

Fedor needs to come to the UFC. The heavyweight division is getting stronger and there are other fights there to keep fedor intersted. Fair enough he will take on lesnar but fights against, Cain, Carwin among others should be a real test for him. If he doesn;t sign he isn’t a true fighter. As they say Champs always want the best fight to prove that they are the king of the mountain
