UFC heavyweight Daniel Cormier has gone 12-0 despite his diminutive size including wins over Antonio Silva, Josh Barnett, and Frank Mir. And, if successful in an October 19 rumble with Roy Nelson, Cormier will almost certainly be in line for a crack at the championship.
However, though Cormier is absolutely on a quest to win gold, he’s not pursuing the belt relative to the division he currently calls home.
On this week’s episode of UFC Tonight, a report confirmed Cormier will drop down to light heavyweight after his bout with “Big Country”. Furthermore, he plans on calling for an immediate opportunity at procuring the strap in his post-fight victory speech.
Cormier-Nelson is set for UFC 166 in Houston, Texas.
