Affliction will head to the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas 11 October, Yahoo! Sports learned Wednesday from arena director Daren Libonati.
According to the report, “Last Emperor” Fedor Emelianenko (28-1) will defend his World Alliance of MMA heavyweight title against “Pitbull” Andrei Arlovski (13-5).
“We’re really excited to have Affliction in the building and particularly to have Fedor and all those other great names,” Libonati said.
Libonati was among those who worked to bring PRIDE to the U.S. for the first time in October 2006, a show that was headlined by Emelianenko’s title defense against “The Hammer” Mark Coleman (15-8).
Affliction Vice President Tom Atencio did not confirm or deny the report but said an announcement about the organization’s second event would be made Tuesday.
