Norman Parke rose to notoriety when he became The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes champion in 2012. Now, he wants to get his hands on another former TUF winner.
Parke (20-2-1) called out Diego Sanchez after earning a second round TKO victory vs. Naoyuki Kotani Saturday at UFC Fight Night 46.
The win moved Parke’s unbeaten run to 11 straight fights, as the lone non-victory came earlier this year when he fought Leonardo Santos to a draw thanks to a point deduction.
“Give me a Top-20 opponent net,” Parke screamed. “Diego Sanchez, where you at punk?”
Parke stormed through Kotani, dominating him with his striking and wrestling. The Irish fighter was only concerned with taking his time and earning his first finish inside the Octagon.
“The game plan was to come out and keep after him,” he said. “I was just aware of his leg locks, but once I got it to the ground, I felt good.
“I wanted the finish. I said what I was going to do and I did it.”
The loss snapped a 13-fight win streak for Kotani (33-11-7) in his UFC debut.
