UFC light heavyweight Quinton Jackson may only have one fight left on his contract with the organization but to hear him talk trash you’d think he’d be showing off his skills inside the Octagon far beyond his October bout with Glover Teixeira. Jackson was recently asked about the results from UFC 148 and gave a candid take on what he witnessed a few weeks back.
“Tito won. Forrest even knew it, that’s why he ran out of the cage like a little crybaby like he always does,” said Jackson of Tito Ortiz’s close decision loss to Forrest Griffin in an interview with MMA Elite before joking, “Somebody told him, ‘Forrest, get your ass back to the cage! You won, idiot! We’re gonna give it to you!’”
Jackson Looking to Move Forward in His Career
As far as the evening’s main event, “Rampage” was ho-hum on how entertained he was, expressing his wish that the fight had lasted longer. He also took the opportunity to slam losing contender Chael Sonnen for his performance against middleweight champion Anderson Silva.
“I think Chael should keep his word and leave the UFC because that’s what he said he was gonna do if he lost. And he lost HORRIBLY. Bad,” Jackson exclaimed. “Chael sucks. He should go somewhere where people like his interviews, love the way he is – the way he talks sh*t on everybody. I can’t stand that boy. F*ck Chael.”
Jackson is expected to test free agency after his tilt with Teixeira based on a perceived lack of respect by UFC President Dana White and company. Unfortunately, that means a second go at Griffin or even scrap with Sonnen at 205 pounds are both unlikely barring some change in the chilly climate between Jackson and his employers at the UFC.
