Rothwell: "Andrei Arlovski and I aren't going to disappoint."

Wednesday at an Affliction presser in Los Angeles, heavyweight “Big” Ben Rothwell (33-5) promised a hot one between him and fourth-ranked “Pitbull” Andrei Arlovski (12-5) Saturday in Anaheim, east of Los Angeles.

Last week on a teleconference, Fighters.com analyzed that Rothwell will close distance on Arlovski and brawl somewhere between the clinch range and punching range while Arlovski’s best game will be outside hammering Rothwell’s lead leg and using his footwork to outbox the Miletich fighter.

Rothwell disagreed, “If he wants to throw, well… I punch hard too.”

Fighters.com called Rothwell’s bluff Wednesday.

“I was just talking shit,” Rothwell confided.  “If I had to answer the question again, I’d say ‘We’ll see Saturday.’”

Rothwell laughed and joked with friends and media most of the day, while Arlovski yawned and submitted to interviews.
