Light heavyweights “Dragon” Lyoto Machida (13-0) and Thiago Silva (13-0) will battle in Birmingham 18 October, the UFC announced Wednesday.
Machida earned his latest victory in Las Vegas 24 May, a unanimous decision over “Huntington Beach Bad Boy” Tito Ortiz (15-6-1).
Machida took five of his last six fights by unanimous decision.
Silva, on the other hand, finished eight of his last nine in the first round.
Silva most recently TKO’d “Samuray” Antonio Mendes (14-3) in 2:24 in Las Vegas 24 May.
