UFC 162: Silva Vs Weidman takes place this Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Fighters.com will be bringing you complete coverage. In the main event, UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva will look to defend his title for a UFC record 11th time against number one contender Chris Weidman. In the co-main event, Former Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar and Charles Oliveira face off to see who can edge their way back into the winning column and a step up the featherweight ladder.

The event kicks off at 6:00 PM EST, and from start to finish we will be doing live play by play and results.

David Mitchell vs. Mike Pierce
Round 1(ref: Steve Mazzagatti)
Mitchell takes the center and Pierce comes forward swinging for the fences, and clinches on the fence. Really looking for the double leg but so far Mitchell is defending well. Mitchell is teeing off on the body of Pierce, but so far Pierce is just leaning on Mitchell. After a short exchange, Pierce clinches again. Mitchell breaks free and lands a few shots, but they are back to clinching on the fence. Mitchell is landing some great knees to the body of Pierce, but Pierce still can’t get the fight down. Mitchell breaks free and eats a left hand from Pierce, but once again he clinches on the fence. Ugly round.

Pierce throws one punch, and pushed Mitchell on the fence. Mitchell is landing some body shots, but Pierce is just leaning on him. Pierce’s corner is pleading with him to fight. They split and trade a few jabs and Mitchell clinches to land some knees, and Pierce lands a mean left hook and pounds him out from the top

Seth Baczynski vs. Brian Melancon
Round 1(ref: Yves Lavigne)
Baczynski curcling and eats a leg kick, and Melancon lands a big left hook. Baczynski throws a jab and Melancon lands a mean hook to the body. Baczynski lands a leg kick, but eats a hook for his trouble. Melancon really has the timing of Baczynski down and lands another hook, and Baczynski lands a leg kick. Baczynski is cut above the eye. Melancon lands a left hook that drops Baczynski, and Melancon goes to work from the top. Melancon lands some shots from the top, but lets Baczynski up. They exchange, and Melancon takes him down and begins working from ½ guard. Melancon gets up, and throws Baczynski legs aside and starts eviscerating Baczynski and puts him out cold at the bell.

Edson Barboza vs. Rafaello Oliveira
Round 1(ref: Herb Dean)
Oliveira takes the center, and Barboza lands a nice leg kick. No feeling out in this fight, and Barboza is opening up with leg kicks. Barboza goes to the body, and Oliveira is getting wrecked with kicks. Oliveira lands a nice right hand, and shoots for a takedown. Barboza scrambles away. Oliveira is getting marked up from the these kicks, but Oliveira is landing some neat shots. Oliveira dives in for another takedown he doesn’t get, and Barboza is really using his footwork well. Barboza lands a big leg kick and Oliveira is limping already. Oliveira lands a few hooks, and Barboza misses big with a leg kick.

Oliveira eats a body kick coming forward and Barboza lands a straight that sends Oliveira to his seat. Barboza waives him up, and almost gets taken down. Barboza is landing big leg kicks. Barboza drops him with 3 in a row, and Dean rescues him.

Gonzaga takes the center and Herman takes is back, Gonzaga lands a counter right and Herman goes down like a hammer in a lake.

Norman Parke vs. Kazuki Tokudome

Parke takes the center and both south paws exchange early. Parke is throwing leg kicks, and Tokudome has no problem playing the leg kick game. Parke is setting up his right hand very nicely, but Tokudome is just eating them so far. Tokudome lands a nice leg and Parke fires back. Tokudome lands a nice left hand and then shoots. Parke defends the takedown and puts him on the fence. Parke is working for the takedown, and almost gets it but takes the back of Tokudome. Parke pulled him down but Tokudome rolls over to end up on top. Parke scrambles to the top and passes as the round ends.

Parke takes the center and lands a straight left right away. Tokudome lands a nice combination and Parke lands a huge left hand. Parke is landing these left hands over and over but Tokudome is just eating them. Tokudome is throwing back, but Parke is landing these left hands at will. Parke ducks under a right hand and takes Tokudome down. Tokudome scrambles up but Parke is staying tight. Tokudome lands a right hand, and a big knee that prompts Parke to shoot and get the takedown. Tokudome scrambles up from full mount and lands a big knee. Parke returns fire with a big left hand

Tokudome is coming forward and landing, but there isn’t much on the punches and Parke is firing back. Tokudome shoots and almosts gets the take down but Parke grabbed the fence and avoided. Mazz warns him. Tokudome scrambles up, and in a scramble gets Parke down. Parke pops up and they are back to trading. Tokudome lands a right hand and a glancing head kick, but Parke is alright. Tokudome lands another head kick, and gets another takedown. Parke pops up to his feet and Tokudome is following him around the cage trying to punch him. Parke shoots for the takedown but can’t Tokudome down this time.

Andrew Craig vs. Chris Leben

Leben takes the center and Craig is circling early. Leben hunting for the single and has Craig pressed up on the fence. Leben still can’t get him down, but he is staying busy landing shots on Craig. They split up after Craig lands a big knee and Leben follows up with a left hand followed  up by a shot. Leben gets it for a second butt Craig pops up.  Leben comes forward up Craig lands a knee as he shoots in to press him on the fence.  Craig circles out and Leben is chasing him. Craig lands a one two that stumbles Leben and  Craig already looks like the fresher fighter.  Leben shoots again and barely gets him down before Craig pops up again.  Craig shoots but doesn’t get the takedown and the round ends.

Leben is coming forward early again and Craig is circling. Leben gets ahold of him, and puts him on the fence. Craig lands a big knee that forces Leben to back up and he is back to pushing him on the fence. Craig is really opening up on Leben, and Leben’s face is messed up. Leben is landing some shots but Craig is dealing with them. Leben presses Craig on the fence but again he can’t control him.

Leben runs forward but already Craig is landing shots. Craig lands two huge combos that drops Leben and he follows him down and starts pounding on him. Leben pops up and eats more shots. Craig lands a big knee and starts pounding on Leben again. Craig breaks free and starts circling, and pushes over Leben, Craig moves to ½ guard and Leben pops up. Leben has nothing left in the tank and Craig shoots and takes down Leben again. Leben scrambles up, and Craig takes him down again

Dennis Siver vs. Cub Swanson
Round 1(ref: Herb Dean)
Swanson takes the center and Siver is circling. Swanson opens up with a low kick, and Siver replies with one of his own. Siver lands a nice glancing hook, and when Swanson closed in he answers with another one. Siver catches a head kick attempt and takes Swanson down. Siver moves to side mount and is smothering Swanson and landing short shots. Siver is just controlling him. Swanson threatens with a guillotine and uses it to stand up, and after eating a leg kick Siver lands big as the round ends.

Swanson takes the center again, and Siver is landing leg kicks and Swanson lands a nice overhand right. Siver lands a nice spinning back kick to the body of Swanson. Swanson lands a nice hook to the body of Swanson, and Siver marks him up with some body shots for his troubles. Siver is catching him with jabs when he comes in. Swanson misses with a cartwheel kick. Siver is landing some nice low kicks as Swanson dances. Swanson landing some jabs, and lands a big hook to the body of Siver. Swanson uchi mattas Siver and ends up in full mount. Siver scrambles on top after eating some shots.

Round 3
Siver takes the center and lands a nice hook, and Swanson throws a nice leg kick. Swanson lands a nice hook to the body of Siver, and is landing a lot of jabs. Swanson lands a nice right hand that wakes up Siver. Swanson lands a few jabs and then lands a beautiful combination that sends Siver spinning to the ground. Swanson follows up with some shots and gets the win.

Tim Boetsch vs. Mark Munoz
Round 1(ref:)
Boetsch is coming forward and takes down Munoz. Munoz rolls him over and stands up. Boetsch takes him down again and lands some shots, Munoz pops up and they clinch on the fence. Munoz breaks free and is circling. Boetsch lands a left hand and forces Munoz on the fence. Munoz gets the takedown but can’t keep Boetsch there. Boetsch uses a guilotine to roll over Munoz. Munoz scrambles up and out and they exchange with some strikes, and he presses Boetsch on the fence again. Munoz lands a nice combination on the break but Boetsch fires back.

Round 2

Boetsch takes the center again, and lands a big kick to the body of Munoz. Munoz fires back with one  of his one and then whiffs on a big  knee. Munoz presses Boetsch on the fence and they are trading knees on the fence. Munoz breaks free and is circling, Boetsch lands a nice combination and Munoz gets the trip takedown and lands some ground and pound. Boetsch scrambles up, but Munoz puts him right back down. After eating some shots, Boetsch gets up and shoots on Munoz, and Munoz is stuffing and beating Boetsch’s body like a piece of beef.

Round 3
Boetsch coming forward and Munoz lands a nice right hand. Munoz shoots and Boetsch keeps grabbing the hold of Munoz’s neck. Boetsch grabs an arm but Munoz escapes and is back to working the body from back control. Boetsch rolls for a knee and Munoz ends up on top and is working for a kimura he doesn’t get. Munoz takes his back and almost gets the choke. Boetsch rolls out and just works the body more.

Roger Gracie vs. Tim Kennedy
Round 1(ref: Kim Winslow)
Kennedy takes the center and opens up with a few leg kicks. Gracie grabs ahold of Kennedy and he goes right down. Gracie almost has his back but Kennedy slips up and clinches with Gracie on the fence. Gracie gets the takedown, and takes the back of Kennedy with a body triangle. Gracie is hunting for the RNC but finally Kennedy spins out.

Gracie takes the center again, and Kennedy lands a leg kick to open the round. Kennedy takes Gracie down and Kennedy lands some big shots from the top, but eventually Gracie scrambles up. Kennedy has Gracie against the fence and is landing some body shots, but not alot of smoke on them. Kennedy takes Gracie down and ends up in ½ guard and retains guard. Winslow stands them up and Kennedy lands a hook and presses Gracie on the fence.

Kennedy takes the center and both are tentative. Kennedy is landing some leg kicks. Gracie forces a clinch and almost gives up his back, but manages to break free. Gracie takes Kennedy, but he pops right back up. Kennedy is just pressing him on the fence. Gracie scrambles out and Kennedy is landing shots to the face of Gracie. Kennedy clinches on the fence and just landing body shots as the round ends.

Frankie Edgar vs. Charles Oliveira

Oliveira takes the center, and Edgar is coming forward pawing jabs. Edgar ends up on top after a failed shot but Edgar pulls out. Oliveira lands a big knee as Edgar comes in, and then pulls guard. Oliveira can’t do anything with it. Edgar pops out and lands a hook, and Oliveira lands a knee. Edgar goes to the body after eating a leg kick. Edgar goes to the body and Oliveira lights him up with a combo as he escaped. Oliveira lands a nice body shot and a great jab. Oliveira pulls him down into guard and lands elbows as the round ends.

Edgar comes out and lands a nice body shot and the a jab. Oliveira lands a nice body shot and then a big knee to the body as Edgar came in. Oliveira lands a big leg kick. Oliveira lands another one but Edgar uses it throw Oliveira down, but then lets him up. Again, Oliveira pulls guard. Edgar landing some soft shots from the top, but Oliveira is landing elbows from the bottom. Edgar lands some nice shots, and Oliveira pops up. Edgar shoots in again and is stuffed by Oliveira. Edgar goes body head as he circles, and Oliveira returns fire with a leg kick. Edgar shoots and gets saved by the bell because Oliveir laces up a guillotine.

Edgar comes in swinging and circling, and Oliveira is picking up the pace. Edgar lands a nice hook that rattles Oliveira a bit. Oliveira gets pushed over, and then gets let up. Oliveira lands some shots that back up Edgar, but Edgar is firing back. Edgar shoots and misses with a takedown. Really back and forth in these exchanges. Edgar lands a big right hand, and Oliveira looks hurt. Edgar is landing time and time again and Oliveira pulls guard. Edgar really peppering Oliveira on the ground, and the fight ends.

Anderson Silva vs. Chris Weidman

Round 1(ref: Herb Dean)

Silva circling early and Weidman shoots in and gets the takedown. Weidman working from ½ guard, but isnt doing much. Weidman threatens with subs and a knee bar, but Silva scrambles out.  Silva inviting Weidman to hit him, and he does and Silva laughs at him.  Im not sure how to write up the end of the round. SIlva needs to stop show boating.

Silva is toying with Weidman and is circling and throwing leg kicks.  Weidman shoots, and Silva stuffs the takedown. Weidman whiffs with a head kick. Silva starts playing around  with Weidman, and Weidman lands a hook. Silva goes down, and Weidman pounds  him out. WOW.
