UFC featherweight Chan Sung Jung was a bit hesitant a few months back when presented with the idea of facing divisional champion Jose Aldo for the title. Now, with a convincing win over Dustin Poirier, it looks like “The Korean Zombie” is out for blood!
Jung took to his Twitter today to make his intent known, writing, “I want Jose Aldo. I will end his reign as a champion.”
The 25-year old Jung has picked up victories in three consecutive clashes with the entire lot involving some form of stoppage. He holds an overall record of 13-3 and is undefeated inside the Octagon.
Aldo is currently linked to a tilt with Erik Koch in October, though UFC President Dana White has since backed off the match-up while explaining the organization is still exploring all of their options. Given Jung’s statement, it appears the UFC now has at least one other legitimate foe to choose from during the official selection process.
