UFC bantamweight Ronda Rousey could very well go down as the best female fighter in the history of Mixed Martial Arts. If she’s successful in doing so, Rousey will join a prestigious group of all-time greats including a man she has a ton of admiration for – Fedor Emelianenko.
Rousey spoke about Emelianenko in a recent Facebook chat with fans where she pointed to heavyweight legend as a competitor she attempts to resemble each time the cage door closes.
“My favorite fighter to watch ever I would say is Fedor Emelianenko. He’s always going to be my favorite. It was the first highlight reel I ever saw of MMA. I loved his style and how he came from a Judo-Sambo background, and I really try to emulate his style every time that I fight.”
