UFC president Dana White might have been tipping his hat in a recent interview with FOX Sports when he stated that the entire case from season one of The Ultimate Fighter should be in the Hall of Fame.
The UFC normally inducts a member to the HOF during International Fight Week, which takes place next week in Las Vegas.
“I think that’s a must,” White said. “I think that entire season should be inducted. Without a doubt, that group of people are all game changers.”
Forrest Griffin and Stephan Bonnar, who met in that epic finale that helped create such a stir around the UFC, were inducted last year to the Hall of Fame. Josh Koscheck and Diego Sanchez are the only two current members of TUF 1 to still be competing, while others include Kenny Florian, Chris Leben and Nate Quarry.
“You guys will know soon,” White said, when asked who will be inducted. “I’ve thought about the whole cast should be. Even the Canadian, Jason Thacker – without the group of people that we had and the way the synergy worked and the way things went down, that season really launched everything,” White said.
Those currently in the HOF include Dan Severn, Ken Shamrock, Chuck Liddell, Royce Gracie, Matt Hughes, Mark Coleman, Randy Couture, Tito Ortiz, Griffin and Bonnar.
