UFC bantamweight champ Dominick Cruz made his debut in the Octagon a little less than two years ago against Urijah Faber in a bout bringing out venom from both rivals during the build up to showtime. Though time has passed, the negative feelings between the two haven’t diminished much as evident from a handful of comments from each in the time since.
Cruz recently fired a shot off at Faber during an interview with Bleacher Report, expressing pride in his claim to having helped prevent “The California Kid” from ever holding a UFC title.
“I’m one of two people to ever keep Faber from becoming a UFC champion. He will forever be known as the former WEC champion. He will always be a number one contender and never anything more.”
