Chris Jericho, whose suspension for heelish hijinx in Brazil, including desecration of that country’s flag, ends this week, will be returning next Monday night on RAW. Skipping over the cryptic hints and teases that often precede Jericho’s big returns, WWE featured a clip of Jericho performing with his band, Fozzy, and the commentators officially announced his appearance.
Throughout his suspension, Jericho took to his Twitter account with clever wordplay to count the days until his suspension was lifted. Today he commemorated the last four days of his impromptu vacation: “The Beatles were the Fab 4. I like them better than the Fantastic 4, the 4 Horsemen, the 4 Tops and 4 Non Blondes,” he tweeted. That dude is really into the Beatles.
There’s still no clue yet on what he’ll be up to when he makes his way back to the squared-circle. Jericho had been kicking a feud with Randy Orton into gear prior to the Sacrilege of Sao Paolo. For his part, Orton was booted off TV soon afterward for a 60-day suspension for a WWE wellness violation, leaving Y2J’s future feud up in the air.
