WWE No Way Out Results: John Cena sends John Laurinaitis to unemployment line with win over Big Show

Tonight may have marked the final appearance on television for GM John Laurinaitis, at least for awhile, after WWE Superstar John Cena came out with his hand raised against Big Show inside a Steel Cage. Cena-Show had been feuding for the past month after “The World’s Largest Athlete” double-crossed Cena at Over the Limit in order to assist Laurinaitis and get his job back.

This time around it was Cena standing tall after escaping over the top of the cage with some help from Brodus Clay. “The Funakasaurus”, out for revenge after Show attacked him a few weeks back, stood guard by the door to prevent Show from exiting while also holding Laurinaitis back a bit later, giving Cena the space he needed to make it out. As a result of Cena’s victory Laurinaitis was fired by Vince McMahon and ultimately took an Attitude Adjustment through the announce table for his trouble.

Other bouts scheduled for tonight’s No Way Out PPV included CM Punk putting his WWE Championship up for grabs in a Triple Threat match against Daniel Bryan and Kane, as well as Sheamus defending his World Championship against Dolph Ziggler. Punk and Sheamus both came out with their title-reigns intact with the former’s assisted by the presence of AJ serving as a distraction to Kane.

Also worth mentioning, HHH came out and requested a bout with Brock Lesnar at Summerslam as had been expected, citing the fact they’re both fighters and can settle their differences against each other in the ring rather than in a courtroom.
