UFC light heavyweight Alexander Gustafsson got some good news a few weeks ago when champion Jon Jones mentioned his interest in the streaking Swede serving as his next opponent. Gustafsson wasted little time responding, accepting Jones’ challenge and even exchanging a few lines of trash-talk with “Bones”. However, little has been heard sense, and the silence is apparently starting to bother Gustafsson.
Gustafsson expressed his anxiety in a Tweet earlier today, asking both Jones and UFC President Dana White to, “Give me a date?!”
The 15-1 Gustafsson is seen as a legitimate challenge for Jones based on his physical tools as well as technique. He has won his last six scraps including success against Matt Hamill, James Te Huna, Thiago Silva, and Mauricio Rua.
