UFC heavyweight Fabricio Werdum is on deck to duke it out with Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira tomorrow night at UFC on Fuel 10 but, as hardcore fans know, he’s been competing against “Minotauro” for the past few months as a coach on TUF Brasil 2. Though Nogueira’s squad went on to own both spots in the final, the time spent on the show was far from a negative one for Werdum.
The heavy-handed submission specialist spoke to the UFC.com about his role on the reality show where his enjoyment with the process was evident.
“It was a great experience, and we had the chance to exchange knowledge with the other coaches and fighters inside the house. I think I gave as much I could to my team; I just wish we had a little more time to really teach them more stuff. But I’m sure a lot guys from that show will become UFC stars in the future.”
On his own future:
“Everyone that fights in the UFC wants to fight for the belt, and I’m sure my time is coming.”
