UFC middleweight Uriah Hall’s run on TUF 17 was one of the most impressive in the franchise’s history. While other fighters had won their tilts in similarly convincing fashion, none had done the damage Hall did including one of the most incredible knockouts MMA has seen to date. However, Hall struggled to capitalize on the success at the finale, falling on the scorecards to underdog Kelvin Gastelum.
Hall’s shot at redemption will come on August 17 in Boston at UFC on FS 1, as officials have announced he will face Nick Ring at the landmark event.
The 7-3 Hall has stopped all but one of the opponents he’s beaten, while Ring is 13-2 and should pose a submission threat given the six tap-outs notched on his record.
