Strikeforce’s next show is coming together and appears to be one of their stronger offerings as of late with two title-fights and a number of other interesting match-ups featuring notable competitors. Earlier today the organization announced three new fights including Pat Healy-Mizuto Hirota, Jordan Mein-Tyler Stinson, and Jason High-Nate Moore.
The July 14 card is headlined by middleweight champion Luke Rockhold defending his belt against Tim Kennedy with a co-main featuring Nate Marquardt-Tyron Woodley mixing it up for the vacant welterweight strap. Other clashes include Keith Jardine-Roger Gracie and Lorenz Larkin-Robbie Lawler.
Healy has won his last four fights and is likely in line for a crack at lightweight champ Gilbert Melendez’s belt with a win over Hirota, a Japanese fighter who has held gold in a number of organizations.
Mein is 24-8 with twenty finishes with Stinson nearly mirroring the numbers at 23-8 with 21 stoppages.
High has won six straight but will have his hands full against Moore who trains out of AKA and has finished seven of the eight opponents he’s beaten.
