A rumored middleweight contest between Michael Bisping and Cung Le was formally announced for UFC Fight Night 48 by UFC president Dana White Saturday night.

The event, set for August 23, will take place from Macau, China. Also, a previously mentioned welterweight bout featuring Hector Lombard and Dong Hyun Kim was made official.

“We’re excited to announce our return to Macao and the Cotai Arena, a venue that has seen incredible UFC performances over the last two years,” said Mark Fischer, UFC Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Asia. “Sands China Ltd. has proven to be an exceptional partner and visionary in helping us grow the sport of MMA and the UFC brand in South East Asia.”

Bisping (24-6) is coming off a loss to Tim Kennedy after returning from an eye injury. He has gone 2-3 in his last five bouts and was recently married.

“The Count” had strung together a four-fight win streak between 2010-11 after a loss to Wanderlei Silva.

Le (9-2) is a former Strikeforce champion who has split his time in MMA with a budding acting career. Since a 2011 loss to Silva, though, Le has defeated both Patrick Cote and Rich Franklin.

Following his win over Franklin in 2012, Le sat on the sidelines, recovering from a host of injuries. He was also featured in a mentor role on The Ultimate Fighter: China.

The Bisping-Le contest will be the main event for the show.

Lombard (34-4-1) improved to 3-2 with the UFC after defeating Jake Shields in March. He also finished Nate Marquardt last year, while his third win came over Rousimar Palhares by knockout. His two UFC losses were split decision defeats vs. Yushin Okami and Tim Boetsch.

Kim (19-2-1) will be seeking a fifth straight win and second in China, as he finished John Hathaway this past March. He also holds wins over Erick Silva, Siyar Bahadurzada and Paulo Thiago since a 2012 loss to Demian Maia.

Below is the current lineup:

Middleweight: Michael Bisping vs. Cung Le

Welterweight: Hector Lombard vs. Dong Hyun Kim
