The crowd didn’t seem to appreciate it, but Michael Page did what he said he would do at Bellator 120 Saturday night.

Page, an unbeaten welterweight prospect from England, scored a first round knockout victory when he landed a right hand on Ricky Rainey to improve to 6-0 in his career.

“100-percent,” said Page, when asked if he felt he delivered. “I want to come back and do even more.”

Page made his Bellator debut in 2013 with a 10-second knockout of Ryan Sanders. He fought in India after that at middleweight, but made his return to open up the first pay-per-view for the promotion.

“I wanted to come and put on a show and prove why I’m suppose to be here,” Page said. “I want to come back and do it again and again and again.”

Page danced around, looked away from Rainey while engaging him and proceeded to dominate for four minutes. He connected with his knockout punch and just admired his work.

Bellator uses tournaments to decide future contenders, but Page didn’t make a push to be included in the next one for 170 pounds.

“I want to take my time in this sport and do it properly,” Page said. “Right now, I’m still growing.”
