The UFC may have been featherweight Leonard Garcia’s professional home for the past few years, but the 33-year old scrapper will return to some familiar stomping grounds the next time he takes to the cage as well thanks to an upcoming bout at Legacy FC 21. The card is scheduled to unfold in Houston, giving Garcia – a native Texan – a chance to entertain some of his fellow Lone Star Staters.
Officials have confirmed Garcia will take on Rey Trujillo at the July 19 event. The card will also host Matt Riddle’s debut under the Legacy FC banner.
Garcia was recently cut by the UFC after losing his fifth straight fight. He is 15-11-1 in his career with twelve stoppages, while Trujillo boasts a 14-10 mark including ten wins by way of TKO.
