UFC heavyweight Antonio Silva knows what it’s like to be in the Octagon with champion Cain Velasquez. The two tussled a year ago with Velasquez getting the better of “Bigfoot” in fairly one-sided fashion.
However, when they lock horns later this month at UFC 160, the big Brazilian firmly believes he’ll be better prepared for what Velasquez has to offer based on their previous pairing. Silva spoke about the scrap in a recent interview with the UFC where he provided some insight into his gameplan for the May 25 tilt.
“The key to this fight is being in great condition. Cain is used to fighting five rounds. He’s very fast so footwork is going to be important in this fight. I’ve got to be faster and lighter on my feet and still possess my strength. All those in combination will be key to my success.”
“I can’t wait to get in there and I will take that belt.”
