UFC middleweight Vitor Belfort is 3-0 at middleweight since coming up short against champion Anderson Silva a few years ago. However, with a bout against Luke Rockhold on the immediate horizon, “The Phenom” appears to be in position for another shot at the divisional strap if successful in their UFC on FX 8 fight.
Though Belfort definitely feels he’s accomplished enough to deserve a crack at the belt, he recently told Bleacher Report he doesn’t care if it comes against Silva or top contender Chris Weidman.
“Let me be clear, I am not looking for a rematch with anyone. What I want is the belt. It doesn’t matter who has it.”
“I have been fighting and winning all the fights in my division. I think I deserve a title shot.”
