Hockey Fight of the Day: Kris Letang vs. Kimmo Timonen

There may be an official statistic out there showing otherwise but it seems there are as many hockey fights involving a player coming to a teammate’s defense as much as those where a player is simply sticking up for himself. In today’s example, the former was in play after a minor scrum featuring Pittsburgh Penguins’ star Sidney Crosby influenced Kris Letang to go after the Philadelphia Flyers’ Kimmo Timonen.
