Elias Theodorou finished Sheldon Westcott in the second round of their Ultimate Fighter Nations middleweight final Wednesday night, putting his name in the history books.
Theodorou (9-0) was in total control when the fight was stopped, having landed 60 more significant strikes than Westcott and holding a 98-18 advantage in overall strikes. In the four-plus minutes of the second round, he connected on 58 of 79 strikes, including 41 significant ones.
“That is honestly the greatest moment of my life,” Theodorou said. “I’m so happy to share it with all of our.”
Theodorou has finished each of his last official three opponents, as the bouts contested on TUF do not count for his record. He owns four knockout and two submission wins to his credit.
“This is the most amazing thing that ever happened to me,” the 25-year-old said.
