Former Strikeforce champion Miesha Tate and Cat Zingano fought for almost 3 full rounds at The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale: Faber Vs Jorgensen card, when the tide turned heavily in the favor of Zingano. Zingano’s punches were already starting to add up on Tate when Zingano started landing elbows and knees to the head of Tate. Referee Kim Winslow was clearly hovering close to Tate in the closing seconds and was looking for a reason to stop the fight. Tate was eating elbows and knees and her face was a mess, but she was still standing or scrambling to her feet, and this was clearly keeping the ref from stopping the bout. Then three unanswered knees crumpled Tate to the floor, and that was all Winslow needed to stop the fight.

Tate doesn’t see the ending of the fight the same way, and she talked all about it at the post fight presser courtesy of the UFC.
