UFC Director Tom Wright, Interim Champion Renan Barao, Eddie Wineland and Alexis Davis were all on hand to discuss the upcoming card and make the event official. Here are some of the highlights on what they all had to say.
Very happy to be here, and I am training very hard and I had fun at the Jets game last night.
I am concentrating on this fight first. Later I will think about Dominick Cruz. I am young and have many fights ahead of me, but I am focussed on this one.
Training is going great back in Rio, and we are looking to fight everyone.
The fans here are awesome, and its going to be an exciting fight for you guys. I can’t wait.
My training is always the same, and we are training for a 25 minute fight. I think I hit harder and that I am the better wrestler. June 15 we will find out.
This will depend on Cruz’s doctors. I won’t sit on the sidelines and wait.
No real pressure for this fight, we are going to train like every other fight. There will be no added pressure.
I think Faber will beat Wineland, he is faster and more explosive.
Great to be back in Winnipeg. This is where I had my first MMA fight, and its cool to have my UFC debut here as well.
I can’t comment on the Fallon Fox really, but I will fight anyone at 135 lb. Its not a problem for me, and its a hard question to answer.
I have fought here in a few years, so I am excited to be fighting back. I am looking forward to see more and more women on the main cards, and I think that will be great for women’s MMA.
