Former UFC heavyweight champion “Maine-i, iac” Tim Sylvia (25-6) and World’s Strongest Man competition champion “Dominator” Mariusz Pudzianowski (1-0) will matchup at Moosin: God of Martial Arts in Worcester May 21.
Sylvia’s downward spiral bottomed-out at Adrenaline MMA IV in Omaha last September when he TKO’d Jason Riley (6-2) in the first round. He had been stopped in three consecutive losses prior to his win, twice respectably to Fighters.com Heavyweight Champion “Last Emperor” Fedor Emelianenko (31-1) and fourth-ranked “Minotauro” Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (32-5-1), but also inexplicably by former boxing champion “Merciless” Ray Mercer (1-1).
Pudzianowski beat “El Testosteron” Marcin Najman (0-1) into submission in 43 seconds at KSW 12 and is reported to be matched versus Yusuke Kawaguchi (11-1) at KSW 13 two weeks prior to his fight with Sylvia.

this should be a great fight. Even though Mariuscz is huge, he’s still a better matchup than fedor, due to his relative lack of mma experience. I’m looking forward to this, immensely.
