Bellator 114 Results: Champion Defends, Tourney Semis Take Place

Bellator MMA continued through season 10 action Friday night with another world championship match at Bellator 114.

The main event saw Alexander Shlemenko defend his middleweight title with a second round submission victory over Brennan Ward. The win was the 50th in Shlemenko’s career and 13th straight.

Shlemenko (50-7) has now won eight fights via submission.

In tournament action, Daniel Weichel and Desmond Green each scored decision victories to advance to the season 10 featherweight final. Weichel bested Matt Bessette, while Green downed Will Martinez.

Also, Brett Cooper scored a second round TKO over UFC veteran Kendall Grove in a middleweight tournament semifinal.
