UFN 38: Prazeres Makes It Two In A Row

A fighter and a police officer, Michel Prazeres improved to 18-1 with a dominating performance over Mairbek Taisumov at UFC Fight Night 38.

Prazeres scored a decision on all three scorecards by taking Taisumov down early and often – even when his opponent used the cage to keep himself upright.

Taisumov was warned and had points taken away throughout the 15-minute battle.

“I want to thank all my coaches and my team,” Prazeres said. “I owe everything to them.

“I feel great in this weight class.”

Prazeres has rebounded from a loss to Paulo Thiago at welterweight to secure back-to-back wins. He replaced Gleison Tibau for this bout and handed Taisumov (21-5) his first loss in six fights.
