Cement-fisted slugger Paul Daley (31-12-2) still isn’t cleared to come to the United States and fight but “Semtex” is doing his best to stay active. Daley was supposed to be part of Bellator’s ongoing welterweight tournament but had his visa held up based on an assault case in England. As such, he fought in Dublin last month and is now lined up for action in Dubai.
According to an announcement from Dubai Fighting Championship, Daley is set to rumble with Rodrigo Ribeiro (9-10) in headlining action at DFC 4 on May 10.
Daley has finished more than twenty of the opponents he’s beaten by way of strikes including Scott Smith and Martin Kampmann. Serving as a contrast to Daley’s hard-hitting ways, Ribeiro is a grappler by trade with five submissions to his credit.
