Lavar Johnson’s job was likely on the line when he took on Brendan Schaub at UFC 157, and if it weren’t for a solid effort from the heavyweight he would likely not have a job at the UFC today. As it turns out, he should probably start worrying as he has been flagged for elevated testosterone levels in his post fight drug screen.
According to report from MMAJunkie, CSAC Director Andy Foster informed them of the test and noted he was flagged in an original test taken on fight night, and they ordered a second screening. The second test “confirmed the testosterone was consistent with the administration of a steroid,” said Foster.
It will be interesting to see how UFC President Dana White reacts to the positive test as he has recently taken a hardline stance on steroids and has declared his intentions to help clean up the sport.
