Ronda Rousey Serving as Coach on Ultimate Fighter 18

Ronda Rousey

UFC bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey isn’t done breaking down barriers, as the immensely popular female fighter was recently tabbed as one of the head coaches on TUF 18. Rousey’s spot on the show was announced over the weekend by UFC President Dana White.

Opposing Rousey will be either Miesha Tate or Cat Zingano depending on who wins their April 13 match-up at the Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale. Rousey’s rivalry with Tate is well-documented, going back to their Strikeforce days when “Rowdy” Ronda took Tate out to become champion, while Zingano is unbeaten and well-rounded to boot.

Also noteworthy, White revealed the show will feature a cast comprised of 135-pound females AND males. Even more intriguing, the group will all live in the same house, adding a new dynamic to the typically testosterone-fueled living environment.
