If for nothing else, you have to hand it to UFC middleweight Chris Weidman for being bold. UFC President Dana White told a story at the UFC 158 post fight press conference about how Weidman felt about his chances against defending middleweight champion and pound for pound king Anderson Silva at UFC 162: Silva Vs Weidman. There is a lot of talk about super-fights between Silva, Georges St-Pierre, and Jon Jones, but Weidman plans on spoiling the party for everyone. Weidman feels so bad about the situation that he plans on making it up to his boss.
White told the media:
“I talked to Chris Weidman. Guy looks me right in the eye and says, ‘I’m telling you, I apologize that I’m going to f*ck up all your super-fights… He says, ‘I’m gonna f*ck up all your super-fights and I’m gonna be your next champion. But what I will do for you is I’ll give him[Silva] an immediate rematch in Madison Square Garden as soon as he loses.’”
“He is right, If you take Anderson Silva out of the mix, the super-fights are all gone.”

Chris will beat anderson im sorry to say that anderson silva is and always be my fav. But weidman is another kind of beast young ,great grappling skills, great boxing, uses angles well great counter fighter, strong, fast, hungry. i have never doubted silva not once i have been watching him sence his pride and fc days but weidman is a freak of nature. He will shock the world. Anderson has been fighting out of shape over the hill guys that couldnt beat newcomer without any big time xp. Weidman jus destoyed a top 5 guy and made it look like it wasnt even worth his time. The only guy he has not destroyed was damia( soon to be welterweight chalenger) and thats because the fight was such short notice also the same guy silva had a very hard time against. Silva is older the ufc didnt want this fight to happen yet but they screwed theirselves and let all the other contenders get beat. Now the superfights will be out the window for now. But they have already made the back up plan for madison square garden they will move jjones up the face off with cain. Watch and learn history always repeats its self, just altered a little.

Look. In the end everyone can be beat, however there are those that are unbelieveable at what they do, and Silva is one of these individuals. Weidman, I have watched his H.L. reels and he appears to be an typical UFC fighter. Having said all those things, one must appreciate how truly talented Silva is. Your typical UFC fighter is an excellent fighter. A well skilled fighter. A well schooled fighter. A professional fighter. The best. Silva however, is on another level. Can Silva be beat? Sure. Will it be Weidman? Hell no, but Father-time will woop Silva.
Time already has son, why do you think he hasnt faught anybody in their prime in awhile because the ufc dont want him losing now but they threw that out the window when they let belcher and bisbing get beat now all that is left is the young beast. Thats why they tried to get the superfights right then. Now they are just praying.
