After a week off, Bellator MMA is back with Bellator 93: Jansen Vs Held in Lewiston, Maine. The main event will feature the lightweight tournament final match between Dave Jansen and Marcin Held. The fight was supposed to take place at Bellator 92 but ended up being postponed a few weeks due to an injury to Held, but its going to happen at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee. The winner will win $100,000 and a shot at dethroning current Lightweight Champion Michael Chandler.

Round 1
Davis takes the center and they begin to feel each other out. Davis throws a kick that Spiritwolf waves off. Both fighters doing a lot of missing. Davis lands a solid low leg kick. Spiritwolf lands a low leg kick, as Davis seems to be stalking. Spiritwolf dives for a takedown, and Davis attempts a standing guillotine. Davis lands a solid body kick, and a counter left. Spiritwolf lands a clubbing left hand that stumbles Davis but he pops right back up and knees Spiritwolf in the pills. time out called. This one might end here. Spiritwolf is taking the whole time. The fight has been called by the ref.

Ryan Martinez vs. Travis Wiuff

The feeling out begins, and Martinez lands a huge left hand that snaps the chin around of Wiuff. Wiuff stumbled back, and Martinez landed a three or four follow ups. Ref jumps in and saves Wiuff. The finishes continue.

Marcin Held vs. Dave Jansen

Jansen takes the center and Held circles. Held looks to be coming forward early and he gets the better of the first exchange. A nice left hook, and a bunch of uppercuts in the clinch land for Held. He presses Jansen against the fence. Jansen attempts a standing guillotine, but Held isn’t having it. Held lands a nice leg kick, and starts coming forward. Held is using great head movement, and Jansen is landing but Held is making him miss a lot. Held’s striking looks great. He lands a flurry of uppercuts, and clinches Jansen on the fence. They separate, and Jansen lands a body kick. Held lands a right hand as Jansen comes in with his head up, Jansen presses him on the fence but Held turns it around. Held eats a low leg kick as the round end.

Round 2
Jansen comes out swinging, but Held plants his feet and throws back. Held gets the takedown, and moves right to side mount. Jansen retains guard, in a scramble Held reaches for the heel hook, Jansen is landing hammer fists, but Held is committed to the leg lock. Jansen moves to mount in the transition. Held retains guard and rolls for a kneebar. Jansen postures up and lands some solid ground and pound. Jansen landing big elbows, and Held rolls for another knee bar but no dice. Jansen stands and lands some body shots as the round ends.

Jansen opens with a leg kick, and Held looks tired. Jansen lands a nice one two to Held, but he just eats it. Held lands a nice counter left hook. Held keeps ducking to throw punches, and Jansen is landing an uppercut every time. Jansen comes forward and Held gets the takedown. Jansen scrambles up, and Held lands a decent left hand. Held dove for a takedown, and ended up n the bottom. Jansen is in Held’s ½ guard landing ground and pound. Held on the bottom rolls into a omoplata, and Jansen defends it well. Held baits him into the inverted heel hook. Jansen escapes, and postures up to land some ground and pound. Held grabs on to an arm and rolls with it as the round ends.
